Planning and development
 BS 5837: 2012

For many years trees have been a material consideration in the planning process and most Local Authorities now require a BS 5837: 2012 survey to accompany planning applications.  We can provide reports that are compliant with the requirements of BS 5837:2012 Trees in relation to design, demolition and construction-Recommendations which include necessary plans prepared using CAD technology.

Our planning related reports include:

  • Arboricultural Impact Assessments
  • Tree Constraints Plans
  • Arboricultural Method Statement
  • Tree Protection Plans

Compliant reports can help with the planning process by informing on any need for design modifications, local authority regulations and be instrumental in discharging any planning conditions.

New planting is now an important component of development proposals and most Local Planning Authorities will require specifications to be included as part of the initial survey.  Our qualified consultants can advise on suitable species and appropriate planting methods which will further simplify the discharge of planning conditions and help to bring forward site handover.
